Plains Office

Our current Plains location on South River Street

We are continuing our Blog Series highlighting each of our 18 offices, next up…Plains!

Our Plains office was the second CareGivers America office to open, and originally called Wilkes-Barre home. It was then located in Dallas for multiple years, and most recently made its big move to its current location on South River Street in Plains.

The Plains office services clients in both Luzerne and Wyoming counties. Why those two, do you ask? It’s coverage area follows the coverage area for the Luzerne/Wyoming County Area Agency on Aging. Keeping with this coverage area helps provide care for people serviced by the Agency.

Our Plains office services approximately 450 clients across Luzerne and Wyoming counties, with a combined 1,295 square miles covered! From the urban areas of Wilkes-Barre to the rural areas of Forkston, our Plains office has the residents of Luzerne and Wyoming counties covered with the care that they need when they need it the most.

Our Plains office provides Non-Medical Home Care services, including Personal Care, Companionship, and Home Helper Services.

It is also one of the sites of our Agency with Choice Program, which is a model of home care services developed by the Office of Development Programs to encourage participant/consumer-directed care.  Specifically, this model encourages consumers and their advocates to be directly involved in the planning, scheduling, hiring, and maintenance of their support workers.

Our Director of Operations, Elyse W, and our Office of Developmental Programs Director, Randi F, both call the Plains office home.

We would like to thank the office and field staff of our Plains office for going above and beyond the call of duty every day. It is because of you that we can help keep more people in their homes.

For more information about our services, or to inquire how you can join CareGivers America, please call 570-674-4500.  Our Plains team would love to hear from you!

Some of our amazing Plains Staff!
