Mia Haney To Be Next PHA Board President
Mia Haney, MBA, President of PA Operations for All Metro Health Care – CareGivers America, has been voted in as President-Elect of the PHA Board of Directors. She will work alongside current Board President Pattie Rodgers in 2018 and assume the President role in 2019 for a two-year term.
Haney serves on a variety of PHA and statewide committees. She has served on PHA’s Public Policy Committee since 2010, and is currently the Chair. She serves on the Quality Councils for the Office of Long-Term Living and the Office of Developmental Programs, and is a board member of Serving Seniors, Inc.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Scranton.
“It is such an honor to be elected to this position and I thank PHA and my fellow board members for this opportunity,” Haney said. “I feel both humbled and grateful to work with PHA’s member organizations as we continue to promote the status of home health care and hospice within the health care continuum. It is important as we navigate through ever-changing regulatory requirements that we are regularly reminded of the invaluable role we play in the lives of so many Pennsylvanians.
“I believe that the work we do surpasses clinical diagnoses and treatment plans – what we give to patients are meaningful outcomes that change lives,” she added. “As we further move into a managed care environment, it is critical that we hold ourselves to the highest standards so that our great work is recognized by those entities who will have the ability to help us affect change for our patients who need it most. I will be dedicated to engaging decision makers and elevating the critical role we play in keeping patients where they want to be…home. Thank you sincerely for this opportunity. I love what I do and I look forward to navigating these next years with PHA.”
