The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program

The forms to apply for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program for money paid for  property taxes or rent during 2013 are now available from the Department of  Revenue. Pennsylvania residents who are 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older whose income does not exceed $35,000 for homeowners and $15,000 for renters (half of social security
income is excluded) may be eligible. Deadline to apply for a rebate on property taxes or rent paid in 2013 is June 30, 2014.

Application forms may be obtained by mail, downloaded from the Department of Revenue’s website, or from Department of Revenue district offices, local Area Agencies on Aging, senior centers and state legislators’ offices.
