STRETCH YOUR LAUGHTER
1. Stretch your smiles into laughter this weekend in Phillipsburg.
The Perfect Christmas Tree Farm will host two 30-minute Laughter Yoga sessions at 10 a.m on Saturday and Sunday.
Laughter Yoga combines self-induced laughter and yogic breathing. It does not move humor or comedy, but you might feel the joy as you ease your way from pose to pose.
The Perfect Christmas Tree Farm is at 999 Route 22. Info: 908-387-1225 or at http://www.perfectchristmastree.com.
2. Learn how to keep domestic violence away from your home.
“Right Here at Home — Violence Against Women,” is a free program about tools you need to identify and prevent abuse. The seminar starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Northampton Community College’s College Center, Room 220 at 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.
Rita M. Jones, director of the Women’s Center of Lehigh University, moderates a panel that includes representatives from the Crime Victims Council, Northampton Community College and Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley.
Using scenarios and questions from the audience, the panel will address key issues of violence against women. This program is an opportunity to learn about violence against women in our community and how we can create change.
