Americans are addicted to coffee. We’ve known that for years, with multiple reports on long term health effects of drinking coffee and how caffeine can take it’s toll on the body. However, the newest report now says that drinking coffee, even decaf, can reduce the risk of diabetes!
By drinking coffee there are a combination of chemicals that affect your metabolism, the chemical that converts or uses energy in your body. “One chemical, chlorogenic acid, may lower blood sugar levels. Caffeine, however, might not make a difference.”
AND the more coffee it seems that you drink, the lower your risk for diabetes is. So go ahead and reach for that second cup, you’ll be glad you did.
