Non-Medical Home Health Care is a term used to describe non-skilled services provided to individuals in their homes or other independent living environments. A trained CareGiver will assist customers to safely complete activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship.
Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
Our typical customers require ongoing care, but we often accommodate one-time-only requests for circumstances when the regular caretaker or family member is out of town. You can arrange services from as little as 1 hour to 24 hour live-in care.

How are CareGivers Screened and Trained?
CareGivers America adheres to a high standard of quality care. Our hiring process includes extensive screening beyond what is required by law.
Our screening process includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Reference Checking (minimum of 2 satisfactory results)
- State Criminal Background Check
- Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Background Check
- Applies to individuals who have NOT lived in Pennsylvania for 2 or more consecutive years, or;
- Applies to individuals who will be providing care to, or will be in the regular presence of, a minor less than 18 years old
- Motor Vehicle Background Check
- Annual Medicare/Medicaid Fraud Check
- Annual Local Magistrate Docket Check
- Annual Megan’s Law Background Check
- Annual Tuberculosis Screening
- Annual Competency Testing for skill and knowledge
- Annual Home Care Training
- Random Drug Testing
- Professional License verification, when applicable
It is our mission to provide you with a CareGiver that meets your individual needs, so if you have a CareGiver that needs additional training, please call our offices immediately and we will arrange to have on-site training session involving a Registered Nurse, our CareGiver, and any customer representatives that you request.
